Submission Guidelines

Our blog covers a broad range of topics including the following: meditation, mindfulness, spirituality; relationships, marriage, divorce, parenting; career and life direction; nutrition, wellness, yoga and holistic medicine; creativity, self improvement/awareness, social justice; depression, anxiety, stress; addictions; grief, anger, pain, self esteem, abuse. Our readers are generally interested in personal development.

Types of stories can include personal essays; how-to and service pieces, including recipes; newsy coverage of the latest trends and research; deeply reported narrative journalism; and in-depth enterprise and investigative reporting.

We accept queries for web articles, guest blog posts and press releases. We do not accept fiction, poetry or music submissions. We are looking for submissions from writers with strong magazine or journalism experience, or from credentialed experts who can write and communicate effectively. All stories must be accompanied by a visual image related to the story.

How to query

Send us a short pitch or proposal describing your story idea. If you wish, you may include two or three ideas in your pitch. Submissions containing completed stories will not be accepted.

Include one paragraph describing any relevant writing experience, professional background, credentials or credits, and provide links to two or three clips that represent your published work if you have them.

Please use the form provided or email your query to info@themindcentre.com.au. Include your pitch in the body of the email. Do not send attachments.

Phone calls and submissions sent through the mail will not be accepted.
